ABOUT DR. SCHWARTZMAN:

Dr. Igor Schwartzman was born and raised in a small Eastern European country, called Moldova. Dr. Schwartzman’s inspiration to becoming a physician was his grandmother, also a physician, who was deeply committed to healing and supporting her local community in Moldova.

Dr. Schwartzman is a trained naturopathic physician, and completed his medical studies at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Schwartzman began his journey in the biological sciences and healthcare field in the early 1990's, while pursuing his undergraduate work. He received his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. He was later involved in medical research at the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts. While at the same time, he pursued graduate work and studies in Anatomy and Physiology at Boston University. His work has been published in numerous medical journals in the field of pulmonary physiology. Most recently, Dr. Schwartzman was a contributing editor to a software-based diagnostic and treatment support system for clinicians, called iCaduceus. Dr. Schwartzman is also currently assisting in the instruction of the Gastrointestinal Functional Trainings to groups of both medical students and other physicians.

Dr. Schwartzman is a family practice physician and offers care for both acute and chronic health complaints. He has a strong interest in digestive, autoimmune, endocrine/hormone disorders, and women’s health.

Dr. Schwartzman is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and the Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians

Dr. Schwartzman is living his lifelong dream of practicing naturopathic medicine, spending his days listening to people tell their life stories, witnessing their healing journey, and assisting them in finding and maintaining wellness.

In his free time, Dr. Schwartzman enjoys spending time with his wife, Kendra, who is an acupuncturist at the clinic. Together they enjoy hiking, cross-country skiing, walking on the beach, or gardening.
